Get a complimentary pickup from your accommodation in Agadir and set off with your expert guide towards Essaouira. Enjoy a comfortable drive along the Atlantic coast, passing through diverse landscapes including Argan tree groves, where you might spot goats climbing the trees to eat the fruit. On your way, you also visit a local cooperative, where women extract the argan oil in the traditional Moroccan way.

Upon arrival in Essaouira, you'll be greeted by the refreshing sea breeze and the relaxed atmosphere of this historic city. Stroll through its winding streets, discover local artisans' workshops, and explore shops selling handmade crafts, spices, and souvenirs. You'll have free time to explore Essaouira at your own pace. You can visit the port to see fishermen unloading their catch, take a stroll along the beach, or visit the fish market. Don't miss the Skala de la Kasbah, a fortified platform offering views of the ocean and Medina.

In the late afternoon, you'll meet your guide and driver for the journey back to Marrakech. Enjoy the panorama of Moroccan landscapes one last time before arriving at your hotel in the early evening.

You'll travel by 4x4 into the Atlas Mountains from the coastal plains of Agadir to discover the Berber village of Imouzzer Ida Outanane. Next it's time for an al fresco lunch prepared with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. You'll have some free time to relax and take in your dramatic surroundings before we return to Agadir through a different route in the mountains.

With plenty of time to soak up the sights and sounds of Marrakech, this two-day tour immerses you into the city's colourful past and present. You'll travel from Agadir to see some of the city's highlights, experience Djemaa el-Fna by night, dine in an opulent riad and check out the seaside city of Essaouira on your way back. Ibrahim, one of our expert local guides, says, ‘I was born and bred in Essaouira, but my family moved away when I was 14. Now, when I return, I'm filled with nostalgia as I tour the alleys where I used to play football with my Arab and Jewish friends. Essaouira has always been a multicultural melting pot.'On day one, we'll hit the road to Marrakech, where on arrival you'll delve straight into the medina's warren of tightly-packed streets. Spend the morning taking in sights as we drop by places like Jardin Secret, before lunch at Dar Nejarine. After some free time to explore, we'll head to Djemaa el-Fna at dusk – the best time to see it – before a tasty dinner and traditional entertainment in a riad.On day two we'll head to the coastal city of Essaouira. Its mellow atmosphere, narrow winding streets laden with kaleidoscopic carpets, peeling-paint houses with and heavy old wooden doors make it a wonderful place to wander around. Walk the ramparts of the harbour, known as the Skala, where electric-blue boats bob in the water, or discover the atmospheric medina.
