If you can tear yourself away from Jamaica's beautiful beaches, then a day of fun-filled thrills awaits at Jamwest Adventure Park. Take your pick of action-packed activities or combos and enjoy a mix of dune buggy or quad driving, ziplines, horseback riding or the Jamculture experience. What's more, all options include a welcome drink and transport.

Choose either a single activity or choose from two combo packages - there's something for everyone. Thrill-seekers can tear across the mud on a powerful dune buggy or quad bike, whizz through the treetops by zipline or plunge into a pool from an extreme waterslide.

Take things a little more easy with a relaxing horseback ride through the countryside, or take part in the Jamculture Experience which combines nature, history and a tasting session where you'll try local food and rum.

I maronernas anda - kulturresa på Jamaica med lunch

Din färd genom norra Jamaica kommer att introducera dig till öns kultur och historia. Vi besöker Charles Town Maroon Museum för att lära oss mer om maronernas kamp för frihet, njuter av en god lunch på Strawberry Fields Together och promenerar genom Sun Valley Plantation för att prova färska frukter och grönsaker. Jada, en av våra lokalguider, säger: "De jamaicanska maroonerna har ett stolt och fascinerande arv. De är ättlingar till västafrikanska slavar som flydde från plantager och skapade samhällen som kallades Maroon Towns. Dessa samhällen bevarade sina afrikanska rötter - maroonkulturen är känd för sin livfulla musik, dans, historieberättande, örtmedicin och matlagning.Vårt första stopp är Charles Town Basic School, en liten skola i hjärtat av Charles Town Maroon-samhället. Sedan besöker vi Charles Town Maroon Museum, som är hem för en mängd artefakter, inklusive traditionella kläder, vapen och musikinstrument. Här får du lära dig mer om maronernas långa kamp för frihet och deras viktiga roll i Jamaicas historia. Därefter äter vi en välsmakande lunch på Strawberry Fields Together, med utsikt över kusten där du kan njuta av Jamaicas berömda välsmakande kök. Kaffefarmvandring genom Jamaicas Blue Mountains med brunch

När du vandrar genom Jamaicas dimmiga Blue Mountains, ta en stund att andas in doften av jasmin från de vitblommiga kaffeträden som blandas med palmer, ormbunkar och orkidéer i denna del av regnskogen. Här får du lära dig mer om hur bönderna sedan 1700-talet har skördat mogna kaffebär för hand för att skapa den milda, fruktiga och söta smaken av Blue Mountain-kaffe. Landskapet här är också ganska historiskt, som något ur Jurassic Park – tänk dig en tät grön regnskog med vattenfall, dalar och dimmiga bergstoppar. Ha din mobil till hands för att ta bilder.Efter drygt tre kilometers vandring belönas du med ett svalkande dopp i Blue Mountains Whirlpool. Marcus tillägger: ”Oroa dig inte – det är en djup, stenig pool med ett vattenfall som rinner ner i den – ingen virvlande ström! Den är känd lokalt som ungdomens källa, så kom och simma bort några år.” Avsluta turen med att lämna ett bestående avtryck på den lokala naturen. Du får plantera ett träd som en del av ett program för att stödja återplantering av skog och hållbart jordbruk i denna del av Jamaica.
