Beskrivning

Det UNESCO-listade palatset i Knossos, som anses vara vaggan för Europas första civilisation, är en av de viktigaste fornlämningarna på Kreta. Du börjar dagen i Rethymnons labyrint av färgglada gator, där du kan strosa runt i butikerna, hitta ett litet kafé eller ta dig ner till hamnen. Rethymnons hamn, som slingrar sig runt den lilla bukten, är lika vacker som den är gammal. Utsikten över Fortezza från den venetianska eran och ut över havet är en fröjd för ögat. Nästa stad på tur är Kretas huvudstad Heraklion. Här får du en guidad rundtur i stadens bästa delar, till exempel den venetianska lejonfontänen och loggian. Det finns också lite ledig tid att utforska i din egen takt.

Sist, men inte minst, är dagens sista stopp ett guidat besök i Knossospalatset. Beundra skatter som tronsalen, de kungliga lägenheterna och de fantastiska freskerna. Intressant tour i Knossos. Bra och intressant berättat av guiden så vi hängde med, trots att engelska inte är vårt modersmål. Rethymnon kunde man kunna få en lite längre stund i.

Stevig gevulde dag. De 2 uur vrije tijd in Heraklion was precies lopen in een mierennest... Dit was voor ons niet zo'n zinvol deel van de dag. Al bij al een deugddoende excursie met een schitterende begeleiding.
