Beskrivning

"Den här utflykten är genomsyrad av mytologi", säger Muzzafer, en av våra guider. "Alexander den store tillbringade en vinter i den antika staden Phaselis, medan från toppen av berget Olympos såg gudarna och gudinnorna ner och önskade att de var på hans ställe." Du känner historiens vingslag vid de antika ruinerna i Phaselis och ser panoramavyer från linbanan Olympos. Dessutom blir det en stund på en av Antalyas bästa stränder och lunch på toppen av Tahtaliberget.

Först ut är den antika grekiska och romerska staden Phaselis. Det ligger utspridda runt en skog och tre små vikar på den lykiska kusten och ståtar med imponerande reliker från klassisk tid. Hadrianus port, teatern och akvedukten är bland de framstående på den guidade rundturen. Dessutom får du promenera bland ruinerna av tidigare butiker och huvudgatan. Det kommer också finnas ledig tid att besöka stränderna på egen hand, så ta med dina badkläder. När du har kopplat av vid kusten och badat i havet är det dags att åka till Antalya Dino Park för lunch.

Ditt nästa resmål är Bey Mountains nationalpark. Du åker genom molnen till toppen av berget Olympos, även känd som Tahtali, på en av världens längsta linbaneturer – den är mer än 4 km lång. På toppen, som ligger 2 365 meter över havet, har du gott om tid att njuta av 360-graders panoramavy från utsiktsplattformarna, precis som de gamla gudarna och gudinnorna gjorde.

Muzaffer, one of our expert guides, says, ‘Legend has it that Cleopatra's pool was the secret to her beauty. I don't know if that's true, but it's an inspiring place for a dip. Collapsed columns and marble remnants dating back to Cleopatra's time are submerged in the thermal waters. They fell here during the 7th century earthquake.'Leaving Antalya early in the morning, you'll arrive at Lake Salda after a few hours' scenic drive. It's been compared to the Maldives for its long white beaches and multi-toned blue waters. You'll have free time to take some photos of this otherworldly spot. We'll head to Pamukkale for lunch. Afterwards, catch a peek of the bright white calcite terraces – they look like icy stalactites dripping from pools of sky-blue water.At the top of these travertines is Hierapolis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walk through the Byzantine Gate and marvel at the ruins as you stroll towards the vast bowl-shaped theatre. On the way back, you'll tuck into a tasty dinner in a forest restaurant, too.
