Walk along Muizz Street which starts at Old Cairo’s southern gate Bab Zuweila and ends at the Bab al-Futuh gate to the north. Along this street, you will find many mosques, hammams and madrasas that will let you experience Islamic Egypt from the 10th to 19th centuries to the Muhammad Ali Dynasty. Market and local craft stores line the streets, adding to its charm.

“Ziel war, das Ägyptische Museum + die Pyramiden von Gizeh zu sehen. Diese waren eindrucksvoll, der deutschsprachige Guide hat alles gut erklärt. Leider war die Tour mit über 22 Std. sehr lang. Da wir an den in der Beschreibung nicht erwähnten Verkaufsstopps nicht teilnehmen wollten, hatten wir eine mehrstündige Leerlaufzeit. Rückflug war erst um 20:45 und Ankunft Hotel um 00:30. Das nächste Mal würde ich eine private Tour buchen + vorab fixieren, was besichtigt wird, so dass die Tour kürzer ist.”
