Att göra – San Nicolás-kyrkan
Den vackra kyrkan San Nicolás är Valencias alldeles egna version av Sixtinska kapellet. Belägen i centrum av Valencia, Spanien, restaurerades 1200-talskyrkan San Nicolás nyligen för att visa freskmålningarna som finns i kyrkans tak.
När du går in i kyrkan San Nicolás möts du omedelbart av en extravagant interiör inredd i barockstil. Väl inne kan man inte låta bli att beundra de slående, storskaliga fresker designade av Antonio Palomino som skildrar Sankt Nikolaus och Sankt Peter-martyrens liv. Du kommer också att se ett påkostat huvudaltare, sex kapell och ett rosfönster i målat glas.
Kyrkan San Nicolás är konstruerad med en harmonisk blandning av gotiska och barocka arkitektoniska drag och är en höjdpunkt i Valencia som inte bör missas.
