Den livliga Pier 39 ligger vid Fisherman's Wharf och är ett populärt nöjesdestination vid San Franciscos strandpromenad. Piren öppnade för allmänheten den 4 oktober 1978 och lockar över 15 miljoner människor om året.
En promenad längs piren erbjuder fantastisk utsikt över Golden Gate och Bay Bridges, Alcatraz och San Francisco Bay. Glöm inte de berömda sjölejonen som solar sig. Sjölejonen har varit en populär turistattraktion ända sedan de började flockas på bryggorna.

Pier 39 har öppet sju dagar i veckan, öppnar för allmänheten kl. 11.00 och stänger kl. 18.00. Parkeringshuset Pier 39 är öppet dygnet runt för dem som anländer med bil, annars är det lätt att nå med kollektivtrafik.
