Att göra – Golden Gate-bron
Golden Gate-bron är en 1,6 km lång hängbro över Stilla havet, som förbinder San Francisco Bay och Marin County. Det är den mest ikoniska symbolen för San Francisco, Kalifornien och utsedd till en av "den moderna världens underverk" av American Society of Civil Engineers.
Golden Gate-bron öppnades 1937 och är möjligen en av de mest fotograferade broarna i världen. Du kan se inslag av Art Deco i utformningen av tornen och belysningssystemet. Du kommer att märka den levande färgen, orange vermilion eller internationell apelsin, som petar från San Franciscos ökända dimmiga skyline.
Den är 228 meter hög och känns igen från många utsiktspunkter i staden och glittrar under en vacker solnedgång. Golden Gate-bron har varit med i många kända Hollywoodfilmer, inklusive Star Trek och Superman.
Idag är bron en populär resväg för fotgängare, cyklister och turister. Du kan enkelt besöka de omgivande områdena och vattnen, som är hem för en mängd olika vilda djur och växtarter som vildkatter, prärievargar, sjölejon och vallmoväxten sömntuta.
