Att göra – Rotterdams gamla hamn
Ett stenkast från kubhusen och den nya och ultramoderna täckta marknaden (Binnenrotte Market) ligger området Oudehaven. Med anor från 1300 -talet är det den äldsta hamnen i Rotterdam. Det kan sägas att stadens handels- och hamnliv utvecklades tack vare denna hamn.
I den historiska hamnen kan du beundra en imponerande samling fartyg och båtar medan du kopplar av vid en av barerna eller utomhusborden i området. Här hittar du också Willemsbrug -bron och Witte Huis, vilket betyder 'vitt hus' på nederländska, den första skyskrapan i Europa, byggd 1898.
Oude Haven är en del av maritima distriktet och kan nås med tunnelbana eller tåg (hållplats Blaak) eller vattentaxi.

“Die versprochenen Städteführungen fanden nicht statt, es gab nur Stadtrundfahrten mit dem Bus. Die Freizeiten waren viel zu kurz um sich etwas anzuschauen oder in Ruhe zu Essen. Auch gab es nicht die versprochenen Ansagen in Deutsch - nur in Englisch und Spanisch. Die Erwartungen und die Freude auf diesen Ausflug waren groß und wurden sehr enttäuscht .”
