Att göra – Kubhusen
De ikoniska kubhusen (Kubuswoningen) i Rotterdam är en del av ett bostadskomplex som designades för över 30 år sedan i ett unikt arkitektoniskt projekt. Byggnaderna är utformade av den nederländska arkitekten Piet Blom och kännetecknas av flera byggnader i form av kuber som lutar i 45 grader.
Belägen i Blaak-distriktet nära Rotterdams gamla hamn, är fasadernas gula färg en av de mest slående funktionerna i kubhusen. Varje hus består av tre våningar: köket på första våningen, följt av sovrummen på andra våningen, och på sista våningen kan du koppla av i "vardagsrummet", som erbjuder utsikt över den gamla hamnen och stadsbilden.
Besök Show Cube Museum (Kijk-Kubus), ett museum dedikerat till projektet där besökare kan utforska inredningen i ett fullt möblerat hem och uppleva hur det är att leva i en kub.

“Die versprochenen Städteführungen fanden nicht statt, es gab nur Stadtrundfahrten mit dem Bus. Die Freizeiten waren viel zu kurz um sich etwas anzuschauen oder in Ruhe zu Essen. Auch gab es nicht die versprochenen Ansagen in Deutsch - nur in Englisch und Spanisch. Die Erwartungen und die Freude auf diesen Ausflug waren groß und wurden sehr enttäuscht .”
