Beskrivning

Holbox-ön är en som en semester i en semester. På denna privata utflykt besöker du Isla Pasion på en båttur, njuter av en lunch på ett femstjärnigt eko-resmål och njuter av en golfbuggy-tur på ön. Ariel, en av våra lokalguider på den här utflykten, säger följande: "Holbox är en livsmiljö för mer än 300 endemiska och flyttfågelarter. Det är också något av en lekplats, med aktiviteter som motorbåtar och strandvagnar.

Gå ombord på din båt vid Chiquila – lotsad av en lokal fiskare – och bege dig på en två timmars lång kusttur. Alla andra verksamheter använder den lokala färjan. Din guide kommer att peka ut platser kända för sitt djurliv - cirka 150 fågelarter har upptäckts på ön - och förklarar vad som görs för att bevara denna livsmiljö. I tre decennier har Holbox varit en del av Yum Balam-naturreservat. Och om du gör utflykten mellan juni och september kan du ha turen att få syn på öns flamboyanta flamingos.

Dessutom kommer du att upptäcka skönheten i de avskilda stränderna på lilla Isla Pasion – Holbox har 36 km vita sandstränder – innan du beger dig till eko-resmålet för lunch följt av avkoppling på solstolarna. Senare hoppar du in i en golfvagn - öns 1 000 invånare använder inte bilar - för att utforska det omgivande området. Exploring Mexico just got a whole lot easier. On this full day adventure, you'll tick off no less than four different activities. Start with a guided visit of the archaeological site of Tulum, then head to a cenote for a swim. Next, it's off to Akumal for a spot of snorkelling. Round off your day with lunch at a beach club. With its intriguing underwater world, Akumal offers one of the best snorkelling experiences in the Riviera Maya. Encounter an array of tropical fish, corals, and perhaps even sea turtles. To complete your day, unwind and indulge in a tasty meal at a nearby beach club.

Cozumel guided snorkelling and island tour from Cancun

Hop aboard a super-speedy boat headed to Cozumel Island, where the turquoise waters of the Caribbean and its marine life are waiting. Soak up the breathtaking landscapes before snorkelling at two of the most famous reefs in the southern part of the island, Palancar and Colombia. They're separated by a couple of metres of open water, so you'll have wall-to-wall reef to explore. Next stop is the shores of El Cielo – which literally means ‘the sky' in English – as it's famous for its peaceful atmosphere and giant starfish population, which you'll find covering much of the ocean floor. You'll also have the chance to see stingrays and other sea creatures during your time here. Afterwards, there'll be some time to relax and check out the views from El Cielito Sandbar, before heading towards the centre of Cozumel.For lunch, you'll get to try some of the region's typical dishes at a vibrant, local restaurant with an ocean view, before rounding off the day with free time to wander around Cozumel Centre. You've the option of a quick tour here – including a visit to the central clock tower at the heart of the island. Then jump back on the boat to sail back to Playa del Carmen, where your transfer will be waiting to take you back to your hotel.

Its mangroves, coral reefs, wildlife and archaeological sites mean that it's both a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a Biosphere Reserve, a rare double that puts it in the Champions League of natural parks. Manon, one of our expert local guides, says, “I first came to Sian Ka'an as a visitor on holidays from Normandy and totally fell in love with it – now I work in this paradise. I come here every day and have never lived the same experience twice.” The adventure begins the moment you step onto the boat to explore the dense mangroves. As you navigate through the reserve, you'll be surrounded by flora and fauna – over 300 species call this place home, including birds, crocodiles and dolphins. As the boat drifts along, your guide will point out unique plant species that thrive in this wetland ecosystem, explaining their vital roles in maintaining the ecological balance. Then, you'll head out into the Caribbean Sea to snorkel in one of the best-preserved reefs in the area. You'll also drop the anchor at a shallow stretch of sand with low tides and crystal-clear waters, known locally as La Piscina. Then, the afternoon is all about unwinding.
