Att göra – Pearl Harbor minnesplats
Pearl Harbors namn är oundvikligen förknippat med den oväntade flygattacken från den kejserliga japanska flottan den 7 december 1941, vilket resulterade i USA:s inträde i andra världskriget. Pearl Harbors nationella minnesplats byggdes för att hedra den ödesdigra dagen och de som dog under attacken.
Minnesmärket består av nio historiska platser som representerar olika aspekter av kriget i Stilla havet. Bland dem markerar USS Arizona minnesplatsen för 1 102 sjömän och marinister som dödades på dagen för attacken. Minnesmärket är endast tillgängligt med båt och är byggt på fartygets sjunkna vrak. Minnesmärket ger möjlighet att återknyta till historien, hedra de som dog och ge historisk information om attacken

“It was an informative trip. There was an issue with getting decent food versus snacks at the store. You had to pay $8 to go into the submarine to go get food from the food trucks. Crazy!”
