Att göra – Marienplatz
Marienplatz är det centrala torget i centrala München och början av en gågata. Mitt på torget ligger Mariensäule, en Marian-kolonn, som torget namngetts efter, medan det i norr domineras av det nya rådhuset och i öst av gamla rådhuset.
Sedan staden München grundades av Henrik "Lejonet" år 1158, har Marienplatz varit centrum och hjärtat av staden. Här möts de två huvudgatorna så det har alltid varit och är fortfarande avgörande för stadens utveckling och liv genom århundradena. Till denna dag är Marienplatz Münchens stadscentrum.
