Kefalonia is rightly famed for its amazing beaches – but what lies in the water that washes these beaches is also worthy of some exploration. With visibility exceeding 40 metres in the crystal-clear Ionian Sea, there's a rich world to discover around the giant rocks, caves, reefs and shipwrecks of the seabed.

With such ideal conditions, any lack of scuba experience won't be an issue. If you haven't tried scuba before, the professional instructors will teach you all the skills you need to enjoy this experience to the full.

All the required equipment is provided so it's never been easier to dive into this underwater universe filled with flashing shoals of fish – while being guided by your instructor every step of the way.

  • Adults only
  • Bring swimming gear and a waterproof camera, if you have one handy
  • Transport not included. Meeting point is Aquatic World dive shop at Agia Efamia harbour
  • If you are staying in one of our hotels in Lixouri, please see your TUI Rep to collect your ferry tickets before your chosen excursion date
  • No alcohol should be consumed before diving and heavy drinking should be avoided the night before
  • Diving not permitted if you're due to fly home within 24 hours
  • Participants have a short theory session followed by a dive in the sea at a depth of 5 to 8 metres, under the strict supervision of a professional instructor
  • Participants must be 10 years or older, and able to swim
  • Two to three hours approximate duration
