Upptäck Berlinmurens kultur och historia på East Side Gallery med dess imponerande och historiskt betydelsefulla väggmålningar som sträcker sig längs ett avsnitt på 1,3 km av den återstående väggen. I hjärtat av Berlin, ta en promenad längs väggen och beundra dess skönhet.
Strax efter att väggen föll började 118 konstnärer från 21 olika länder måla det som idag är East Side Gallery och skapade det längsta utomhusgalleriet i världen. Den 28 september 1990 öppnades Art Mile officiellt och ett år senare listades den slutligen som ett historiskt monument. Många målningar har varit kraftigt vittrade eller till och med skadade genom åren. Det har gjorts flera försök att restaurera, en av de största som ägde rum 2009.
Idag är East Side Gallery en av de mest populära sevärdheterna i Berlin. Bland de mest kända konstverken finns "The Brotherly Kiss" av Dimitri Vrubel och Trabanten som bryter igenom muren. Galleriet ligger i en fantastisk miljö på floden Spree i Friedrichshain - med många strandbarer som inbjuder dig att ta en trevlig paus under sommarmånaderna.
