Barcelonas berg Montjüic användes som en militär utpost sedan urminnes tider. Tillsammans med berget Tibidabo är det den enda betydande höjden i den katalanska staden. Montjüic har blivit en viktig turistattraktion och har bevittnat många viktiga händelser som har bidragit till dess nuvarande framträdande, såsom den internationella utställningen 1929 och OS 1992. Det finns många platser värda att besöka på Montjüic-berget. Dessa inkluderar Montjüic slott, en före detta militär fästning på toppen av berget som nu används som en utkik där besökare kan beundra en fantastisk utsikt över staden. Du når den till fots eller med linbana. Konstälskare kan besöka flera museer utspridda över berget Montjuïc, såsom Miró Foundation, Arkeologiska museet, Etnologiska museet och Catalonia nationella konstmuseet-MNAC (det senare är inrymt i Palau Nacional). “Great package of experiences. We loved the Sagrada and Casa Batllo. Unfortunately there were long delays on the bus which meant we did not have time to go on the Montjuic cable car.”
“It was ok in Barcelona. I took 3 days ticket pass, but I got only 2 days of hop on - hop off. So the last day I had to buy bus and metro tickets. Some of the objectives were surprised, and could't find the right phone to redeem the tickets, but they let us enter even if they couldn't process it.”
