Att göra – Louvren Abu Dhabi
Louvren Abu Dhabi öppnade i november 2017 för att berätta världens historier genom sina permanenta och tillfälliga utställningar. Med mer än 85 000 kvadratmeter utställningsutrymme rymmer denna "museumstad" konstverk och artefakter från förhistorisk till samtida tid över kulturer och kontinenter.
Beläget i kulturområdet Abu Dhabi på Saadiyat-ön, har museets design inspirerats av dess omgivande landskap och kombinerar betong, vatten och ljus på det mest magiska sättet. Ett arkitektoniskt underverk i sig, museet designades som en "flytande kupol av ljus och skugga" av den berömda arkitekten Jean Nouvel. Museets 55 byggnader är sammankopplade av den otroliga kupolen som bildas av 7850 stålstjärnor och när solen går över filtrerar dess ljus genom att skapa en förtrollande och fängslande effekt.
Delat i fyra vingar, museet rymmer tolv permanenta temagallerier. Louvren Abu Dhabi presenterar en kronologisk historia om mänskligheten över de östra och västra världarna eftersom det syftar till att förena historierna om mänsklig kreativitet mellan kulturer. Museet är hem för många tillfälliga utställningar i världsklass och också ett barnmuseum, där barn inspireras till att lära sig om konst genom aktiviteter och underhållning.
Museet har två kaféer, samt en fine dining restaurang och en butik, det perfekta stället att hitta en gåva eller ett minne om ditt besök. Museet är omgivet av vatten och tillgänglig till lands eller till sjöss. Louvre Abu Dhabi ligger drygt en timme från Dubai med bil och är ett måste för alla som reser dit!

“Die Ausschreibung „Moschee und Heritage Village“ wurde geboten. Leider war der Ausstellungsteil im Village geschlossen, nur die Verkaufsstände geöffnet. Anschließend ein Mittagessen schlechter Qualität zum Aufpreis von 25,-€ pP, welches 1 h in Anspruch nahm (man wurde gefragt, ob man das möchte aber eine Alternative gab es nicht). Danach direkter Rückweg. Hier bot der Reiseleiter halbherzig weitere Möglichkeiten an, riet aber zur Rückfahrt. Leider bekam man keinen Überblick von Abu Dhabi!”
