Beskrivelse

Denne utflukten fanger Mallorcas magi ved å kombinere to av nordsidens beste attraksjoner. Vi besøker et bondemarked og blir kjent med den forrevne kystlinjen til Cape Formentor, en smal, furubesatt halvøy befolket av ville urtespisende villgeiter. Lluc, en av lokalguidene våre, sier: "En spansk setning som er verdt å huske til turen på markedet er "Un poco para probar, por favor", som betyr "Litt for å smake, takk". Vanligvis er selgerne glade for å gi deg en liten smaksprøve på ost, oliven, brød og så videre, før du kjøper.'

Mallorcas markeder er kjent for sitt store utvalg av ferske produkter. Tilbring en formiddag på et av de mest populære ukentlige bondemarkedene, og la sansene dine våkne til liv med fargerike fruktutstillinger, duften av nybakt lokalt bakverk og lokale selgere som roper ut sine beste tilbud. Disse markedene arrangeres vanligvis på kirketorget i landsbyene. Lluc legger til: "De som selger bare noen få forskjellige typer sesongens frukt og grønnsaker, er de som dyrker sine egne produkter – og som regel er de mest prisgunstige."

Vi kjører deretter med bil til utsiktspunktet Es Colomer for et kort fotostopp på vei til Formentorstranden. Den buede sandbukten med furutrær kan skryte av klart vann og er et flott sted for å slappe av litt. Forfriskninger er tilgjengelig på en strandkafé, og du kan sikre deg et bord til lunsj ved å velge alternativet "lunsj inkludert". På hjemturen reiser vi med båt tilbake til Port de Pollença.
