Retken kuvaus

Lisää vauhtia Lanzaroten lomaasi ja tutki syrjäisen pohjoisosan kuun kaltaisia maisemia. Tällä jännittävällä maastoseikkailulla pääset ajamaan buggylla tulivuorten, laajojen tasankojen ja pikkukylien, kuten Guatizan ja Malan, halki. Voit valita kahden tai kolmen tunnin ajelun.

Koska ohjelmassa on pitkä liuta nähtävyyksiä, polkaistaan tämä mönkijäajelu vauhdilla käyntiin. Ajat ensin Guatizan avoimia kaktuspeltoja pitkin kohti Los Cocoterosin näköalapaikkaa, josta avautuu upeat maisemat merelle päin. Tämän jälkeen tutustut kaktuksiin ja opit tuntemaan kokenillikirvan ja sen käyttötarkoitukset – yllätyt varmasti.

Seuraavaksi suuntaat mutkaista tietä pitkin rannikon tuntumaan Malan kauniiseen kylään ja tutustut siellä vuonna 1975 rakennettuun valtavaan patoon. Paluumatkalla saat nähdä hiekan pöllyävän, kun kiidämme Guatizan kylän kautta takaisin Teguiseen.

Camel Ride and Minivan Tour at Timanfaya National Park

Sci-fi scenery and camels – this morning in Timanfaya National Park is no ordinary tour. On this fun-filled adventure, you'll explore Lanzarote's top attraction by both traditional and modern means. Star turns include the historic ‘Raven's Volcano', a visitors' centre, the hamlet of La Degollada and, of course, a camel ride. Marian, one of our local guides, says, "You get to enter a volcano crater – it's a truly spine-tingling experience – while the camel ride gives you time to absorb the lunar landscape."First up is the Volcan del Cuervo, or ‘Raven's Volcano'. Located on the edge of Timanfaya National Park, it breaches from a landscape of jet-black soot. It was here that the volcanic eruptions that created Timanfaya began in 1730. Towering walls surround the crater but for a gap seared open by a river of lava, which allows you into the base. Next, we'll zip over to the Mancha Blanca Visitors' and Interpretative Centre. Have a poke around its multimedia displays and get the lowdown on the geology of the Canaries.Then it's time for the more light-hearted part of the tour – the camel ride. You'll be helped on to wooden seats harnessed to the single-humped camel as a handler guides you around. It's a laugh a minute as you scale the wild and wonderful volcanic lands. There's also a small museum dedicated to the Canarian camel, affectionately known as ‘tochas'. The tour ends at the hamlet of La Degollada, where you can take in panoramic views over the Femes valley.

Cesar Manrique’s Lanzarote tour with Cactus Garden and LagOmar

With its vine-laden lava fields, exuberant architecture and otherworldly landscapes, Lanzarote looks and feels like something from a sci-fi movie set. Sites & Bites: Salt flats and Malvasia wine in Lanzarote

Journey through Lanzarote's volcanic landscapes and culinary traditions on this tasty tour. Your adventure begins at Las Salinas de Janubio, the largest salt flats in the Canary Islands. Learn about how it's traditionally harvested, with techniques dating back to the 19th century. The white salt contrasting with the island's dark volcanic terrain makes this place perfect for practising your photography skills.Continue to El Golfo, a fishing village on the island's west coast. You'll stop by Lago Verde, a green lagoon in an old volcano crater that's coloured by the algae in the water. The lagoon is separated from the sea by a black sand beach, contrasting with the green water of the lagoon and the deep blue of the sea. During your free time in El Golfo, you can explore the town's plentiful oceanfront restaurants at your own pace. While food isn't included in this part of the trip, local favourites such as grilled fish and papas arrugadas, AKA wrinkled potatoes, are well worth trying. This Canarian specialty is boiled in heavily salted water until the skin wrinkles and forms a salty crust, typically served with a red or green mojo sauce.Finally, you'll visit La Geria, Lanzarote's wine region, known for its unique production methods. Vines are grown in pits dug into the volcanic soil and protected by stone walls called zocos. This helps the vines thrive despite the dry conditions and strong winds on the island, which then produces the island's renowned Malvasia wine. You'll wrap up your tour with a wine-tasting session, sampling the flavours Lanzarote is known for while taking in its volcanic views.
