Rotterdams markedshal Markthal er det første overdækkede marked i Holland, der kombinerer en velsmagende shoppeoplevelser inde i en unik bygning. Dette ikoniske friskmadsmarked har 100 sælgere af friske råvarer, 15 fødevarebutikker og 8 restauranter. Pakket med madboder, der sælger pakket med frisk fisk og kød, grøntsager og oste, brød og slik,her kan du virkelig kan finde alt på ét sted.
Beliggende under Markthals 40-meter høje hvælvede bygning er markedets loft til gulv dekoreret med det største kunstværk i Holland. Lavet af kunstneren Arno Coenen, 'Horn of Plenty', viser værket digitalt forstørrede billeder af mad, blomster og insekter stiliseret efter stilleben-malerier fra det 17. århundrede.
Når du besøger Markthal, så husk også at lede efter de mange middelalderlige levn, nær rulletrapperne og på parkeringspladsen, som blev udgravet under opførelsen.
Boderne er åbne fra mandag til torsdag og lørdag fra 10:00 til 20:00, fredag fra 10:00 til 21:00 og søndag fra 12:00 til 18:00. Kommer du i bil? Du kan parkere i garagen beliggende direkte under bygningen.
