Turen til Rhodos frugtbare indland om morgenen bringer os til det økologiske fristed, Sommerfugledalen. I dette berømte naturreservat går vi en tur i skoven, langs vandfald og bassiner, der er rige på dyreliv. Fra midten af juni til midten af september er dette sted hjem for hundredtusindvis af Callimorpha-sommerfugle, der bliver tiltrukket af harpiksen på styraxtræerne. Det er ganske spektakulært.

Bagefter kører vi tilbage til kysten, hvor vi stiger om bord på båden til Chalki. Denne uspolerede ø har smukke huse, der ligger spredt rundt i havnen, hvor små fiskerbåde ligger fortøjret. Gå lidt omkring og nyd den idylliske ø og få en fornemmelse af, hvordan livet foregår på en traditionel græsk ø. Der bliver også tid til en forfriskende svømmetur i Chalkis klare vand.
