Født i Tyskland, men Anne Frank levede det meste af sit liv i Amsterdam, hvor hendes familie flyttede til, da hun var kun fire år. Familien ankom i 1934 og boede i et hus ved Merwedeplein Pladsen, indtil de måtte skjule sig i 1942.
Udforsk Anne Franks liv på en rundtur i Amsterdam. Anne Frank, en af de mest omdiskuterede jødiske ofre for Holocaust, hvis velkendte historie blev opdaget posthumt med offentliggørelsen af hendes dagbog, der dokumenterer hendes liv i skjul fra 1942-1944, under den tyske besættelse af Holland under Anden Verdenskrig.
Det hemmelige annex er placeret på bagsiden af et kanalhus fra det 17. århundrede, nu omdannet til et museum, hvor Anne og hendes familie boede i over to år under Anden Verdenskrig. I nærheden finder man en statue skabt i hendes ære, uden for Westerkerk i Amsterdam.
