Sevillan sydämessä sijaitseva upea Alcázar on UNESCOn listaama kuninkaallinen palatsi, joka on epätavallinen yhdistelma maurilaista ja renesanssin kristillistä suunnittelua. Tämä selittää palatsin silmiinpistävän yhdistelmän islamin, barokin, gootin ja renesanssin vaikutteista.
Kompleksi on suuri, joten vierailu kannattaa suunnitella etukäteen. Kohokohtia ovat Palacio de Don Pedro, joka on kiistatta kuuluisin ja arkkitehtonisesti vaikuttavin, sekä ylellinen Salón de Embajadores, joka oli alunperin Pedro I:n valtaistuinhuone. Guide erwähnt z. T. viele mir unbekannte Namen, mehr Infos zu Architektur und deren Merkmalen besser”
