Retken kuvaus

Troodos-vuoriston maisemat vaihtelevat valtavista niittyalueista ja hedelmätarhoista tiheisiin metsiin, joissa on useita lintulajeja. Näihin kaikkiin voi tutustua parhaiten maastoautolla. Tällä kokopäiväretkellä näet Omodoksen, Afroditen kallion ja paljon muuta.

Päivä aloitetaan suuntaamalla kohti Tzelefoksen siltaa, jossa voit lähteä vapaaehtoiselle, pienelle metsävaellukselle. Pysähdyt sitten perinteiseen "kafenioniin" maistamaan aitoa kyproslaista kahvia, ennen kuin ohitat 20-metrisen vesiputouksen, josta voit ottaa upeita valokuvia. Kun ruokahalusi on herännyt, lounas tarjoillaan läheisessä tavernassa.

Sen jälkeen suuntaat Omodosin kylään, joka sijaitsee aivan Limassolin viininviljelyalueen sydämessä. Pistäydy kahvilassa tai vieraile 1600-luvulla rakennetussa Pyhän ristin luostarissa. Päivän päätteeksi käyt vielä Petra tou Romioussa, joka tunnetaan paremmin nimellä Afroditen kallio. Täällä voit rentoutua rannalla.
